Nous avons passé trois nuits dans ce superbe complexe hôtelier aux excellentes prestations. Dommage que la chambre, dans une annexe un peu éloignée ne favorise pas l'accès aux équipements de l'hôtel. Le restaurant la Brasserie est cher mais excellent et le petit-déjeuner est parfait. L'emplacement au calme et près de la mer, nécessite une voiture.

Pretty but overpriced hotel with dangerous room
A few days before our stay, we knew the weather was going to be bad. We had booked three nights, at approximately $500 per night, prepaid, and tried to cancel. They would not provide a refund, but they did allow us to shorten our visit to two nights. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we drove 7 hours and arrived at 10 pm. The restaurant was closed, but they allowed us to pre-order the duck salad, and the service was nice. But the salad was mostly inedible unless you like hard internal organs like hearts and livers.
At 11 pm, they took us to our room, which was in a building three blocks away from the main hotel. We had Room 9. To get there, we had to walk up a steep staircase. Room 9 consists of a small seating area on the bottom, and a bedroom in the attic, accessible by a steep staircase/ladder. We are an older couple, so we asked the concierge to haul our bags upstairs.
The bedroom is a death trap for older folks. The corner of the foot of the bed is much too close to the top of the ladder. A misstep in the middle of the night getting to the bathroom would cause someone to tumble down the steep stairs. But it was so late, we were too tired to try to get a different room.
The bathroom was another problem. The shower door did not close properly. The hand shower leaked profusely. It was not possible to take a shower without soaking the bathroom floor.
The next day the hotel staff moved us to room 5, down the hall. It was lovely, safe, roomy, and comfortable, and all on the same floor level.
The breakfast was excellent. The buffet had plenty of breads, yogurt, fruits, cheeses, salmon, etc. Hot food was served a la carte. The eggs Benedict were perfect.
The hotel is beautiful.

Great stay
We had 3 fantastic days at Ruths.
Everything was beyond expectation.
Everywhere we met smiles and helpfulness.
The room was lovely with own little balcony.
The breakfast was one of the best we had in Denmark.
We ate twice at Brasseriet, the food was also great here.
We will definitely come back.

Raw second shake to main course
We had booked a weekend stay with a 3-course Christmas menu. The main dish was fried duck breast. It was a really unpleasant experience. The meat was not prepared as prescribed wild meat - it was raw and tough. As a hunter, I know the difference between melted red meat and raw meat. We sent the dish back to the kitchen, but got it back again, with answers from the chef: “Taste and pleasure is different - it was properly prepared” it is professionalism in the kitchen too I must say. The spouse at the next table also sent their duck breast back to the kitchen, but got the same answer. I think this is the first time I've met such an arrogant customer service.

Discrimination at Ruths Hotel
We looked forward to a night at Ruths. We were directed table and presented for the evening's choice options. Ordinary menu card, and an exciting 3-course menu, selection of ostean direction and wine menu, presented on the menu card holder on the table. We choose the 3 dishes and wine menu.
The waitress now asks if we live on site. We don't do that. Therefore, we cannot take advantage of the offer for which we were presented. We wonder, and the waiter asks in the kitchen if there can be an exception, but it is not possible, even though we got it offered.
We had spent time choosing, now we had to choose again, and thus got double waiting time for the serving.
Maybe a good idea for the restaurant manager to brief his employees about the special procedures that involve great discrimination of customer groups.
Once you have made a mistake, it will dress a responsible chef or restaurant manager to solve problems to the benefit of the customer.

Det er ærgerligt at aftenens tjener ikke er bedre informeret om, hvilket antal menuer der kan serveres pågældende aften. Grunden til der bliver spurgt hvorvidt I er boende gæster eller ej, så er det afgørende for, om der kan være tale om et ophold med inkluderede menu. Vi medgiver at der er i aktuelle situation er meldt udsolgt, således forudbestilte menuer kan serveres. Det er en beklagelig situation som burde have været undgået.
