Holidays in the "Old Rock Cellar"

We liked it very much in the "Old Rock Cellar". Room was well decorated, the staff nice and helpful and the breakfast on the terrace with Saale view just great. The boss personally greeted us the first morning and had tips on what is worth seeing and how best to reach it. Unfortunately, we could not rent bikes, suitable for us.

We are happy to recommend

Very nice location for cycling and vineyard tours, right on Saale. Room very nice and boss and staff top fine. Breakfast very rich. Chef also likes to give tips for things to do. We highly recommend this hotel.

Short breaks

The "Alte Felsenkeller" is a nice hotel, very romantically located on the Saale. Our room in the main house was modern, very well maintained. The service is very attentive and stirring. The breakfast buffet is well stocked, in the evening we ate well, everything was freshly prepared. The boss is attentive and always has a suggestion for things to do. It is a quiet hotel, not for night lights, also due to the distance to Naumburg.

Accommodation with relaxation

After problems on the way and resulting delays we were warmly received. We had a very nice and quiet room and were surprised the next morning with a very good breakfast. For our electric car, which was a bit floppy on the battery, was and also provided a private charging facility. This accommodation made us forget all the hassle. Only in the morning we were able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings in which the Old Rock Cellar is located. We will definitely come back.

Saale/Unstrut tour around Naumburg

We, my friends and I, have Trips within Germany once a year since 1997. The "Old Rock Cellar" was with the best accommodation we had booked so far. The boss received us personally and despite rest day we got a cooling beer and other drinks on that hot day. He helped us plan a trip by bike to Nebra Ark, spoke to the bike rental, ordered places for dinner in Naumburg. He was always approachable and present. The rooms were very clean and modern. There is nothing missing there either. Even a water was ready.
The highlight were the beer garden with a view of the Saale, the excellent breakfast and also the dinner was very delicious. On "invitation" from the boss I was also bathing in the hall, which then became my daily ritual there. It was just wonderful! The fish jump out of the water to catch mosquitoes and I could also spot a kingfisher swimming in the morning.
All in all we had a wonderful stay in the "Altes Felsenkeller" and in and around Naumburg and Freyburg.
