Aja is well
Charging 12€ per day! for the normal, uncovered hotel parking is outrageous. Should I arrive on foot?!
The pools were too cool and the drink prices are very upscale (by the pool 6€ for a self-service beer).
Otherwise, the rooms are nice and the dinner and breakfast really very good.

Unfulfilled expectations
Since our room wasn't ready to move into, we wanted to eat a little something in the restaurant. The choice was the veggie burger, but after 20 minutes came a meat burger with bacon. So back to the kitchen with it and after another 20 minutes came the right burger with however half-baked fries.
We continued at 6:45 the following morning: “Wake-up call” from the reception with the request to re-park my car as soon as possible, as it is also in the fire department approach zone like some others. So car parked. But it is not clear to me why
a. I was told the night before that I could park in the area as all the parking spaces in the parking lot were occupied?
b. on the following days cars were always in the same place and all night?
c. why are more paid parking accesses allocated than how there are parking spaces???
At least we were refunded the parking fees for the duration of our stay.
For breakfast and dinner, we had to specify at check-in which of the two available time slots we wanted to eat. Unpleasant, since it takes away a lot of flexibility. At breakfast, a barrier was set up in front of the restaurant between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m., so that no one gets in before 9 a.m., the start of the second shift.
We did not understand why some tables were reserved, but at the same time various guests had to go looking for free seats themselves, since these, including us, did not get any tables reserved. It would be much more effective if someone took the guests at the front of the reception and then led them to empty seats.
Quality of food:
Breakfast was good so far. 4 out of 5 stars.
The dinner was very disappointing. Many a dish looked distinctly different from how you know it and accordingly it tasted. 2 out of 5 stars.
It was various topics that were annoying and for the price we expected more. For us it will remain a one-time visit. Too bad actually, because the sauna and swimming pool area is very good.

Ok but much to overflow
+ nice rooms with attractive furnishings
+ modern, new ambience runs throughout the hotel
+ friendly staff (especially Peter from the bar and the Fenerbachefan from the reception) sufficiently available and well trained
+ spacious SPA (2 pools, Jacuzzi, children's pool, sauna/steam bath area, etc.)
+ good fun opportunities for children
+/- Culinary offer ok / not a very large selection / not exceptionally good / but also nothing negative
- Much too crowded / there were significant waiting times (buffet, pool bar etc. ) / lack of space at the pool and in the restaurant
- 12 EUR Parking costs for an outdoor parking space per night must be a bad joke
- Bar menu ridiculously small with hardly any choice
- and again and again the annoying topic: Pool temperature / MUCH TOO COLD!! does not invite you to linger and relax in all pools / we do not want to swim lanes on a wellness holiday, but relax THANKS
- At C/I my in-laws wanted to book dinner on top of that, which was not possible. Only after I had to inquire a second time with a bit of force did it suddenly leave. Funny.
- At C/O I was not asked about my stay
More like 2.5 points instead of 5. We will not come back as there are far better alternatives for a nice wellness holiday for the paid money.

Ruhpolding is as usual a good Aja hotel
The rooms are as you know them and comfortably furnished. I like the layout and I don't need more than what it offers.
We were unfortunately not quite so clever and booked a visit via an extended WE - the hotel was booked up accordingly and in the wellness area it was sometimes hard to get a place. That was a shame.
I didn't test the other rooms this time, but they were available as known.
The food was balanced and varied and always tasted good.
Too bad that parking is really unnecessarily expensive and there were no parking spaces anymore. I don't understand why you still have to charge such a high fee with the hefty hotel price & this despite the fact that it is always reported back by the guests. In my opinion, this is not hospitable, but taking advantage!
Except for this point, we will certainly come to one of the other hotels in the future, as we like to bring our dog.
